The natural way to acquire another language is to first listen to the language. You already did it when you were a baby. You did not talk first and your parents did not force you to talk, they kept talking to you and telling you stories.
French story and poem: un amour qui finit mal !
My French students are now learning the passé composé in class and I am looking for ways to help them acquire this new tense without doing the traditional grammar approach.
The first text which came to my mind was Le déjeuner du matin which is actually a poem widely taught in French classes because the language is quite simple and repetitive.
French culture: celebrating la Chandeleur !
Candlemas is around the corner and I have prepared some fun activities to do in the French class to celebrate this special event. In fact as the activities are mainly centered around crepes and how to make them, you could also use them to celebrate Mardi Gras (which is on the 9th of February this year) or if you are teaching a topic on food.
